Philadelphia Flower Show

A great article about the Philadelphia Flower Show with an interview with our own curator, Anthony S. Aiello -http://bit.ly/b57Fh4.  This year's theme is "Passport to the World," "designed to show off the flora of nations and honor all the globe-trotting Americans who have gone hunting for plants from other lands." Below is an image from The United States Exploring Expedition that Tony talks about.

A beautiful image from The United States Exploring Expedition, 1838-1842.

Out on a Limb

Out on a Limb, originally uploaded by Morris Arboretum.
Check out the snow at Out on a Limb. Our staff worked hard to quickly remove the snow and ice so that we could open the arboretum for visitors to come and view the beauty of the season. If you have cabin fever, you should get outside and come take a walk around Morris Arboretum. Great shot by Paul Meyer - check out more on our Flickr site:

Geotagging at the Morris Arboretum with flickr

Check out some Morris Arboretum pictures geotagged on flickr - thanks to Tie Guy II - they are mapped to specific places on the aerial photograph with little points.

When you click on the points, the picture that was tagged at that location pops up.
