Wetlands Are Nurserys

The wetlands serve as a nursery for ducks and other wildlife

Wetland ecosystems serve as a nursery for wildlife. The habitat provided by the plants and other wetland features make it a safe place to nest and raise young. 

A pair of mallard ducks have found our wetlands to be a suitable place to raise their young.

  1. We also learned about invasive species removal and worked to dispose of poison hemlock plants that have become well established around the native wetland plants
